Roth Group
Roth Group Ltd is a UK company, founded in 2017, that invests in and develops complementary businesses across renewable generation, battery energy storage, renewable compute and environmental infrastructure — in the UK and internationally.
Each business in the group is run on its own merits with independent governance and arm's-length commercial agreements — bound together by shared engineering DNA and a focus on practical, deployable clean infrastructure.
UK battery energy storage specialist — engineering, procurement, installation and long-term service of behind-the-meter BESS for commercial & industrial sites, data centres and EV charging hubs.
Explore RES →The MRMDC product line of Roth Energy Storage Ltd — containerised, stand-alone renewable compute combining wind, solar, storage and IT in a single 20-ft unit. No grid. No diesel.
Explore MRMDC →Waste-oil recovery and re-refining for Saint Lucia and the wider Caribbean — turning an environmental liability into base oils and industrial products, with strong ESG impact.
Explore Roth Marine →Small-wind OEM and group partner — maker of the patented WindSurf™ WS213 active-pitch vertical-axis turbine used across RES wind+BESS bundles and every MRMDC unit.
rothturbines.co.uk →Roth Turbines builds the wind technology. RES engineers and services battery storage and delivers wind+BESS as a single package. MRMDC combines both with solar and compute into a stand-alone renewable data centre. Roth Marine applies the same engineering discipline to environmental recovery in the Caribbean. Independent companies and brands — one direction of travel.
RES is a UK-based BESS engineering, procurement and long-term service company for the behind-the-meter market — from a single commercial site to multi-megawatt deployments. UK-certified, UK-installed, UK-serviced.
UK grid-connection waits of 5–15 years, accelerating demand charges and resilience requirements have made on-site storage the practical answer for the under-served 100 kWh–2 MWh segment. RES exists for exactly that gap.
MRMDC packs wind, solar, 3,500 kWh of LFP battery storage, supercapacitors and IT compute into a single factory-built 20-ft unit — delivering firm, continuous, 100% renewable compute capacity almost anywhere in the world.
| Element | Specification |
|---|---|
| Firm IT capacity | 12–16 kW continuous, stand-alone — 99% annual uptime SLA |
| Generation | 4 × WindSurf™ WS213 turbines (25.6 kW) + 150 kWp solar PV |
| Storage | 3,500 kWh LFP battery + supercapacitors for sub-second response |

Roth Marine is developing the Saint Lucia Used Oil Recovery & Re-Refining Plant (SLUORP) — the first formal waste-oil collection and re-refining infrastructure for Saint Lucia and the wider OECS region.
Roth Marine applies the group's engineering and project rigour to environmental recovery — infrastructure that pays its way while cleaning up a long-standing regional problem.
